Another scenic day through old growth forest and many, many beautiful lakes. It was a shame that the mosquitos were terrible. Head nets were on pretty much the whole day.
We are camped at another lake tonight, the third night in a row. We need to make an urgent stop into Bend tommorrow, which is possible from a side trail to a place called Elk Resort. This is unplanned. I will not go into the private details but Carolyn needs to get something checked out by a medical professional. I’m a bit nervous for her- I hope that everything checks out okay and it’s a quick fix. We will hike the 11 miles out to the lodge and hitch hike into town and take it from there.
