It was so hard leaving our studio dream house this morning but somehow we managed to get going around 10 AM when the rain was stopping. Everything was in a cloud as mist and low clouds clung to trees and the highway.
We saw hundreds of little baby western bullfrogs migrating to who knows where in the parking lot and near the highway. It was like a real life version of Frogger as the frogs leapt unkowingly into on-comming traffic trying to cross the street. We observed many casualties as we headed back to the trail; it was sad. ?
The day was cold and cloudy and misty- par for the course so far in Washington. I hope this weather breaks a little and we get some sunshine. Everything is so wet and damp.
