I had an awful nights sleep on account of a wind storm that ripped my tent stakes out of the ground multiple times during the night. On top of that tiny fine dust particles blasted inside my tent covering everything in a nice layer of dust. It was great.

I packed up my things and proceeded to the breakfast buffet, which is the part of the Timberline Lodge  experience that everyone comes for and raves about. It did not disappoint. The buffet had everything- eggs and waffles and pancakes and quish (don’t know how to spell this) and sausage and ham and unlimited smoothies and fruit and delicious pastries. I shovled plate after plate after plate of deliciousness into my mouth hole for a solid hour like a starving protester after a 15 day hunger strike. It was fantastic.

I left the lodge around 10 AM and continued down the PCT towards the next town stop of Cacade Locks which is right near the Washington/ Oregon border on the banks of the Columbia River.

The day was surprisingly hot and I felt naseuas most of the day. I stopped early to rest my stomach. I’m feeling better now and hope I get a better nights sleep. I will hike into Cascade Locks tomorrow.
