Last night kind of sucked at the campground. For some reason unknown to me, a group of 6 Japanese people decided to stroll into our campsite at 11 PM and set up their tents right next to ours. Like, literally almost touching our tent. They clambered and talked real loud and their headlamps were blinding us as they fumbled with their gear.

So that went on for like an hour. Then, at 2 AM, another couple decided to set up camp right next to us! 2 AM! What were these idiots doing? What were they thinking? These are probably the same stupid morons that will go into Yosemeti valley and drive around in their stupid car and eat ice cream and gawk at the bear on the side of the road eating a bunch of trash. I’m glad I paid 12 dollars to have such an amazing camping experience. Good riddance.

A lot of other hikers were going into Yosemeti today but Carolyn and I decided to pass. It’s the weekend and I don’t need to be a part of the globs of people down there.

We woke up early and got the hell out of the campground. Today turned out to be really scenic. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but we followed the Meadow for a bit and were treated to an amazing waterfall, the best yet.

We climbed a bit and had amazing views of bald stone spires, eventually walking through forest into another high alpine Meadow. We decended at the end of the day and are camped in a canyon. The mosquitos are getting really ferocious now. Dozens buzz around us ready for the chance to land and suck out our blood. We have head nets and DEET which does a superb job of keeping these annoying varmine at bay.
