PCT: Day 65

June 24th, 2016

Miles Hiked: 16

Start Location: Mile 927

End Location: Mile 943

End Location GPS: 37.87241, -119.35353

We woke early and made our way over Donahue pass at just over 11k feet. There was a bit of snow and some cross country travel and route finding but it wasn’t very difficult.

After the pass it was really smooth and fast hiking once we hit the valley floor. We reached Toulumne Meadows which is a general store and post office about an hours drive from Yosemeti valley around 3:30. We got our resupply boxes and lounged on the picnic tables sorting through our stuff. We grabbed a couple veg burgers from the grill and made our way over to the campground.

There are many hikers here at the backpacking sites. Earplugs will be in tonight. Back out tommorrow on our way to Sanoroa Pass and Kennedy Meadows North, some 70 miles and 4 days away.
