PCT: Day 28

May 18th, 2016

Miles Hiked: 14

Total Miles: 365

Start Location: Campsite Mile 430

End Location: Akton KOA Mile 444

End Location GPS: 34.43795, -118.26624

We woke up to a nice morning. The first six miles were infested again with Poodle Dog Bush to a Rangers station and our next water source. The last two miles of this were also infested with a lot of poison oak. It’s hard to keep track of all these poisonous things. At the Rangers station they had soft drinks for a dollar so we each had two.

It was a pleasant but hot rest of the afternoon as we decended to the valley. We stopped at the Acton KOA campground and did laundry and had showers and our camping here tonight.

It’s a lovely mild and calm evening. It’s nice being camped on a lawn in perfectly flat ground. Heading into the next town tommorrow, Agua Dulce to chow down and resupply.
