PCT: Day 21

The highlight of the day was walking to McDonalds and eating our faces off at Cajon Pass, an Interatate 15 stop with a gas station and MCds, which is practically right on the PCT before it shoots you under the interstate. About 15 other hikers were there eating and getting out of the hot sun, and it was hot, shooting over 90 degrees today in the afternoon. 

After spending over an hour eating McMuffins and hash browns we set off again. It is pretty much all uphill starting from around 3000 ft and ending near 8000 ft at Imspiration Point on Highway 2 which goes into our next town stop of Wrightwood. So we spent the afternoon climbing and climbing and climbing. 

We have 17 more to do tomorrow to get to town and take showers and do laundry. More than half those miles are spent climbing another 2000 ft. We’ve been out about a week this stretch and a town stop is definitely in order. We are very dirty and smelly at the moment.
