AT: Day 4

Miles Hiked: 19.5

Total Miles: 69.7

Another good day today hiking wise. Legs and feet were a bit tired at the end of the day. I’m at last branch lean to tonight with a few NOBO repeat hikers, Missing Link and Red Dane. Very nice and encouraging people to talk to. Missing Link said only 13 of around 300 SOBO hikers last year finished the trail. Makes me wonder what my chances are. So far things have been good. I much enjoy all the hiking and don’t really care for the camping part. Hopefully tonight I can sleep better. The hammock has been working good, but it is sometimes a pain to set up. Hopefully I can become more efficient at it in the future. I’m going to try and be in Monson in six days. Got some mountains coming up so the hiking should become a little tougher. My legs are still feeling strong so we’ll see what happens. The thing I’m liking most so far is seeing what’s around the next corner of the trail. It always surprises you. More beautiful lakes today and one mountain top view. So far so good. Looking forward to the next bend in the trail.
