Good second day overall. Initial impressions are quite good. The trail is easy to follow and well graded, and the scenery is truly miraculous. It\u2019s more like a desert forest, with trees and shrubs and cactus, and green\u2026a lot more green than I had imagined it to be. I\u2019m quite pleased and happy by all of it.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Carolyn is battling some early hike blisters which she is hiking through. We put some paper tape around them and that seemed to help. I hope they get better soon. Blisters are the devil.<\/p>\n

We plan to reach the very small town of Mt Laguna tomorrow, which has a small lodge and outfitter. We sent a food box there and will collect it as we pass through.\u00a0<\/p>\n
