One of the most scenic places in the United States can be found within the lakes and dunes of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. It is a magical place, especially in the Spring. Carolyn and I came here on a trip last year and spent a long weekend backpacking around the lonely island of North Manitou.<\/div>\n

We had such a great time exploring this amazing location, we decided to return the next year, but see a different side of the area. Instead of backpacking and camping, we took a more leisurely approach and stayed at a bed and breakfast in Leland, MI, called the Riverside Inn. Nestled in the North West portion of Lake Michigan, this small lake shore town is around a 40 minutes drive north from the more populated Traverse City.<\/div>\n

We spent our time visiting a lighthouse, exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, and perusing the beautiful wine country.<\/div>\n
