After finishing graduate school in the Spring of 2011 at the University of Washington in Seattle, I took some time off to hike the Appalachian Trail in its entirety. I started in early July and finished 2,180 miles later in early November. I didn\u2019t know it at the time, but this journey would be the catalyst into how I would view and live my adult life from that moment forward.
